Security Patrol Officer
Job Summary
The Security Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and property at Pathfinder Village. This role involves routine patrols, enforcing resort policies, assisting guests, and responding to incidents or emergencies.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, trails, and facilities
  • Monitor for suspicious activity, safety hazards, noise disturbances, or policy violations
  • Enforce Pathfinder Village rules and regulations in a professional and respectful manner
  • Respond promptly to guest concerns, complaints, and emergencies
  • Provide assistance to guests (directions, minor first aid, general support)
  • Check permits, registrations, and ensure only authorized guests are on property
  • Secure buildings, gates, and restricted areas as needed
  • Write detailed incident and daily activity reports
  • Coordinate with management and local law enforcement when necessary
  • Monitor weather conditions and assist with emergency preparedness or evacuations
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous security, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license (if operating patrol vehicle)
  • Basic first aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies

  • Physical ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Working Conditions
  • Primarily outdoors in a campground environment
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.)
  • May include night shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Interaction with wildlife, guests, and recreational equipment
